Custom Made Insoles

Custom Made insoles

As unique as your feet

Do you experience pain daily? Maybe you have Plantar Fasciitis or struggle with low back pain? Over-the-counter inserts may not provide the relief you need. Using cutting edge imaging systems and moulding processes I can assess the alignment of the Lower Legs, Ankles, Achilles and Feet to uncover any areas of misalignment or potential causes of pain. The analysis includes a full biodynamic assessment which allows the casting of individual and custom-made insoles that are unique to each of your feet, further to this if any alignment or correction postings need adding to the base of the insoles these can also be determined and added …… in short a complete and concise service.

The human foot is an amazingly strong structure, capable of handling hundreds of tons of force every day. The foot's myriad of parts work in harmony, getting you from one place to another, but the stress of carrying you around puts your feet at high risk of injury, more so than other parts of your body. Following is a list of typical conditions helped by a set of custom insoles:

Plantar Fasciitis

Hallux Valgus (Bunion)

Morton's Neuroma

Metatarsalgia (walking on pebbles)

Shin Splints

 Flat Feet

High Arches

 Arch Pain

General Foot Pain

Knee Pain

Back Pain

Diabetic Foot

The Difference of Custom Insoles

Putting You First

Your individual custom-made insoles correctly support the entire arch of the foot, known as the plantar vault. They’re custom made and corrected by hand, based on your unique foot shape, gait, leg length and alignments. Just as no two bodies are alike, no two pairs of custom insoles are alike.

Over-the-counter products may initially cost less, but they may only support part of the arch in your foot. When the arch is incorrectly supported, it may not maintain the structure of your plantar vault, and problems can start in other parts of your body. In fact, “over-supporting” the arch of the foot may actually cause pain and symptoms, not relieve them.

Why custom made?

Generic, off-the-shelf inserts risk worsening your symptoms because they address only general conditions and are made to fit a whole range of people, foot size and shape of feet. Your feet are as unique as your fingerprints. My custom made insoles are built specifically to meet your individual feet, gait and alignment needs.

Further to this, specific corrections are crafted by hand to correct left / right imbalance and over / under Pronation and any other mis-alignment specific to yourself. Custom Made Insoles help achieve a balanced foundation and a stabilized pelvis, and help any physical adjustments “hold” better.

Customized support helps balance the body from the ground up.

More common issues

Root cause assessment and correction

There are 5 Red Flags or signs of pronation. If these signs are ignored and the causes are left untreated, foot problems can adversely affect the entire body. Moving from the ground up, a person who shows signs of pronation can have imbalances throughout the body, including internal knee rotation, pelvis tilt and a dropped shoulder.

The 5 Red Flags of Pronation:

Foot Flare: All pronators walk with foot flare, or “toe out.”

Internal Knee Rotation: When the feet are flat on the floor, the lower extremity has its greatest distortion with the feet bilateral pronated.

Bowed Achilles Tendons: The ankle and foot appear to roll inwards, causing a bowing of the Achilles tendons, which will potentially deform over time.

Flat Foot: At mid-stance, the patient will demonstrate the greatest degree of pronation and all 3 arches of the foot will have collapsed.

Uneven Heel Wear: In the typical, bi-lateral, asymmetrically pronated foot, the heel strike will be uneven, creating uneven or asymmetrical heel wear.

The feet are the foundation of the body; they support its entire weight. If there isn’t enough support from the feet, various parts of the body, particularly the spine, are exposed to additional stress, which can lead to a number of issues:

Back, hip, knee and foot pain.

Poor posture and abnormal foot function.

Excessive shock transmission up through the body when walking or running.

Impaired sports performance.

Greater risk of injury.

A set of custom made insoles are also designed to help prolong the support of your physical adjustments, thereby improving your overall structural alignment and posture.
